Another pass worth mentioning is the Col de Vence, but only if you are in the area. The surface is mostly good and there a few hairpins near the top. South of the pass is the walled town of Vence ('immortalised' by Rick Wyman in the song si si (je suis un rock star)). An excellent place to stay if you can find accommodation at all that is. It's lively and full of restaurants.
